How To Make
A Resume That Gets You An Interview |

About MeWhen you consider advice about the way to build a resume, you are probably concerned about the person giving the help. My name is Richard Lindsey and I come to the field of resume preparation with a broad set of experiences and academic preparation. I have been on both sides of the resume exchange, not only having prepared resumes in multiple industries, but also having been in the role of receiving, reviewing and screening resumes, and have made hiring recommendations and decisions in multiple settings. The positions for which I have been on the hiring side vary from part-time janitorial to positions for which doctoral degrees were required. Those experiences cover a period of approximately the last 30 years, and have covered times when the market was a labor market and times when the market was essentially a management market - from a shortage of workers to a shortage of jobs. I have reviewed hiring documents that were simple one page entry level documents, up to curriculum vitae with multiple ancillary supporting documents. I have seen documents on which I made negative decisions within 5 seconds to those in which I have spent several hours over several days researching and validating claims and running references before making hiring recommendations. In addition to the managerial experience, I also bring professional academic preparation to the table. I possess a Masters Degree in the field of Communications, and have had some coursework toward a Ph.D. in Education Administration. My essential purpose in this website is to lend my expertise in the preparation of persuasive documents to help users make better decisions about their set of hiring documents, the resume in particular. The positions I take and the recommendations I make are my own after considerable research and experience in the area of providing employers documents more likely to get you an interview. Please feel free to peruse this site and glean all the assistance you possibly can to get that little edge up on your competition. Good Job Hunting, and may God bless you. |
